A set of scientists on Rosamond 6 are trying to show that humans can survive with xenomorphs on the same planet.  Excellent tale continuing the series in the Aliens series.

Amazing collection of zombie stories - incredibly varied and all well done.

A fun cyberpunk romp

Reasonably quick reads (under 300 pages/book), this is a look into the world of vampires as it should be written.

An older tale from Stephen King's pseudonym, Richard Bachman, this is a decent tale of the dangers of an overactive imagination.

Another fantasy series that is five books long so far. They are: A Game of Thrones, A Clash of Kings, A Storm of Swords, A Feast for Crows, A Dance with Dragons.
